What is IMS?
IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation) is simply the insertion of needles into muscles. Many practitioners perform IMS or dry needling to release tight muscles. Chan Gunn IMS however, is an extensive system of diagnosis and treatment of myofascial pain syndromes. Dr. Chan Gunn has spent decades developing this system and has been awarded the Order of British Columbia and the Order of Canada in recognition for his research in the area of treatment of chronic pain.
